Hitman 2

When first hearing about Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, I wasn't all that impressed. I mean, come on - how many stories are you shooting up the world to save someone? Even after beating it, the theme of the story didn't impress me at all. You're a retired hit man, brought back into service because your mentor was taken. Coincidentally the folks at HQ had a mission for you that may or may not help you find your mentor. So you take it.

Other than the somewhat lame theme, I loved the individual "chapters" of the game, if you forget about the overall plot, and focus on your mission, you get really into it. This game takes you all around the world for different reasons, throughout the game you'll be in places like; Sicily, St. Petersburg, Japan, Malaysia, Nuristan, and India. My favorite mission was in Japan.... of course.

The factor of this game that really hooked me on it, was that every mission can be completed in a numerous amount of ways. There's always the "shoot em up" way, then there's the Stealth way as well. In this game it's not just hiding in the shadows, whenever you kill someone, you have the option to take their clothes. Other characters in the game react to you different depending on your costume. FOR INSTANCE (*Spoiler*) My absolute favorite part of the game is when you have to kill someone (surprise!), only it's not just going in and shooting him, although I guess that would work too. What I did, is waited for the chef of his house come outside, then I killed him, took his clothes, then went inside. Then I put poison in his fish, which killed him. It was great. (*/Spoiler*)

The weapons were very fun in this game, I always had a thing for sub machine guns (SMG), they definately show them off pretty well, not to mention the BFGs. They actually made this game so you can go through a mission by killing a surprisingly small amount of people. You have stuff to knock people out instead of kill them, of course to complete your objective you may have to kill the target enemy, but he deserves it ^_^

I first played this on the PC, but I knew the controlling would be much nicer on a console, so of course I had to go pick up a copy. Some people complain about console controlling on 1st person shooters (this one's actually 1st and 3rd), but I actually prefer it this way. I guess depending on your personal preference you can decide between the console version, or PC version, either way, if you've ever wanted to live through the roll of a Hitman, ...or just play as a bald assassin... here's your chance!

Game Case Summary
Step into the world of a cold-blooded killer for hire, hunting and stalking your prey in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

It's completely up to you how to fulfill the contract. Be warned, some of your targets are heavily guarded, as well as completely paranoid. They'll be expecting you.
