Vampire Princess Miyu is kind of creepy. The themes and overall feel of this series is dark, very dark. Normally I don’t deal well with vampires and demons and stuff. It might cause me some sleep loss. But this is actually worth watching, even for people who don’t enjoy darker movies. The story is fairly close to the common storyline of normal girl with a dark side saving the world, but it has it’s own twists which make it interesting to watch.

The characters differ greatly from the original series. Larva takes his mask off, talks, new weapon, etc.. Some people might freak about that, but it’s fine with me as I haven’t seen the original series. I’m hoping to though.

There’s enough action, freaky creatures, cool powers, mysterious pasts, and sad happenings to make anyone happy and make it worth the money you spend on it. If you have the ability to rent this, do that first to see if you like it. It’s not one of those series that you can just go out and buy and know you’ll like it.
